Jaime A. Martinez

Jaime A. Martinez Jaime A. Martinez joined the Firm on April 4th, 2016. As Director of Administration Jaime oversees all Operational (Human Resources, Information Technology and Office Services) and Financial (Accounting, Banking and Payroll) areas of the Firm.

Having worked for large national and international law firms in New York, Florida and Texas, Jaime brings a unique and diverse knowledge in the management of law firms.

From his early days in the Accounting department of Finley, Kumble & Wagner (a full service firm in NYC), to his immediately previous position as Executive Director of Foster LLP (an Immigration firm in Houston Texas), Jaime has found and enjoyed the opportunity to interact with, and learn from, all operational and management levels of the legal profession.

After attending Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck N.J. (Political Science and Philosophy), and St. John's University in NYC (Accounting & Finance), Jaime has worked exclusively in the legal profession. His former employers range from small local firms to large multinational firms with over 4,000 employees. A long-time member of the Association of Legal Administrators (National and Local Chapters), Jaime chaired the Finance Section of the NYC- ALA Chapter.

Connie E. Bergstrom

Connie BergstromConnie E. Bergstrom joined the firm in August 2016. As the Controller Connie's responsibilities include management of the accounting department staff, and all centralized financial and accounting activities, as well as overseeing the legal and regulatory compliance for all accounting and financial reporting.

Connie has worked for large to mid-sized firms in the Sacramento area over the last thirty years in accounting and management. Prior to joining the firm Connie was with Hardy Erich Brown & Wilson, a well-known insurance defense firm as their Firm Administrator.

She is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators since 2000.

Thomas Howard

Thomas Howard Tom Howard is the Business Operations Manager overseeing the Political Reporting Unit.

Tom joined the firm in October 2015 and has extensive experience in the preparation and filing of lobby and campaign disclosure reports both in California and nationwide. Tom's role is to manage all aspects of the Political Reporting Unit. Prior to joining the firm Tom was at Nielsen Merksamer where he had a variety of roles related to political compliance and the City of Westminster Housing Department in England, where he worked on implementing and ensuring compliance with child protection and interagency working policies.

Tom has a B.A. in Philosophy and Politics from the University of East Anglia (England), and a Post Graduate Certificate in Accounting from Santa Clara University.

Michelle Wixom

Michelle WixomMichelle Wixom is an assistant manager overseeing lobby and corporate compliance for the firm. Michelle rejoined the firm after serving as the Legal Compliance Manager for a national non-profit. Michelle has extensive experience in nonprofit compliance and governance, financial management, lobbying and campaign finance reporting, contract/grant administration, and internal control audits. In 2016, Michelle served as the lead compliance consultant on a $6 million dollar independent expenditure campaign in New York.

Michelle is a member of the California Political Treasurers Association (CPTA) and a local Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) where she is active in the health/wellness program. Michelle received her Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication with a minor in Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento. Michelle is also a certified Paralegal.

Mia Brumfield

Mia BrumfieldMia Brumfield has been with the firm since 2006. In 2012, Mia was promoted to Assistant Manager of the firm's Political Reporting Unit. Mia supervises 10 employees under the supervision of the Political Reporting Unit manager. Mia's duties include, but are not limited to, processing payrolls, audits, financial reconciliations, and preparation of disclosure statements for state and local candidate and initiative campaigns.

Mia is a member of the California Political Treasurers Association (CPTA). Mia received her Bachelor of Arts in Government from California State University, Sacramento. Prior to joining the firm, Mia worked as an Engrossing & Enrolling Clerk with the California State Assembly Office of the Chief Clerk.

Jeremiah Ivans

Jeremiah IvansJeremiah Ivans has been with the firm since 2008. In 2017, Jeremiah was promoted to Assistant Manager of the firm's Political Reporting Unit. Jeremiah's duties include, but are not limited to, supervising employees in the Political Reporting Unit, training new employees, review and oversight of financial transactions, and review and preparation of disclosure statements for federal, state and local candidates, initiative campaigns, PACs, Major Donor and Lobby reports.

Jeremiah received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from University of California at Santa Barbara. Prior to joining the firm, Jeremiah prepared semiannual disclosure reports for various mutual funds at Franklin Templeton Investments.
